Step 1. Slice four 1/4-inch-thick slices from 1 cucumber. Peel and coarsely chop remaining cucumbers; transfer to processor and purée until smooth.
Use vodka instead of gin to make a vodka elderflower gimlet. Make it spicy. I like adding a little heat to my cocktails and a dash of spicy bitters or some cayenne pepper would go great with this French gimlet. Add some herbs to add more of a botanical note to the drink. Fresh basil or rosemary would be a great addition to the French gimlet.

What you need to make a vodka gimlet with cucumber. cucumber vodka. Rose's Lime Juice. Lime Wedge. fresh cucumber. Although a traditional gimlet has 2 parts alcohol to 1 part lime, I switched it up a little because of using Rose's lime juice. The Rose's is a little bit sweeter than fresh lime juice.
Follow these simple steps: Begin by chilling a martini or coupe glass in the refrigerator. In a jug or tall glass, pour 50ml of lime syrup or cordial. Add a few ice cubes to the glass. Pour in the gin. Stir the mixture until the outside of the container feels noticeably cold.

Let the mixture infuse for at least 30 minutes or more. As with any tea-infused liquor, use double the amount of tea that you would normally use for a cup of hot tea. When infusing loose-leaf tea into the vodka, adjust the time, so the flavor is at a concentration you like. Strain the infusion through a coffee filter.

Another key to making a tasty Gimlet is using a great-tasting gin, and you can’t go wrong with Tanqueray London Dry Gin. After all, an excellent Gimlet needs a great classic gin.
Instructions. Place the lime juice and the basil into a metal cocktail shaker. Using a muddler, mash the basil leaves thoroughly against the bottom of the shaker. Add the simple syrup and vodka and fill with ice cubes to the surface of the liquid. Shake vigorously until the shaker is freezing your hands, perhaps 15 seconds or so.
